The following fund categories are intentionally excluded from our analytics pipeline. These are typically debt-oriented or passive strategies that do not represent active stock selection by fund managers.

Exclusions are enforced automatically during data ingestion. If an AMC's disclosure contains both equity and debt funds, only the equity/hybrid portion is retained.
Data Quality Checks
ISIN Validation
Every entry must have a valid ISIN (min 6 characters). Entries with date-formatted ISINs or internal codes are rejected.
Quantity & Value Checks
Quantity and Market Value must both be strictly positive (> 0). Zero or negative values are treated as data errors and discarded.
Deduplication
Files are tracked by filename and timestamp. Already-processed files are skipped automatically unless a force-reprocess flag is set.
Scheme Normalization
Scheme names are normalized to UPPER CASE and scheme alias mappings handle renamed funds (e.g., "Formerly known as...").
Month Standardization
All month fields are converted to full English month names (e.g., "Nov" → "November") to ensure consistent time-series comparisons.
Grand Total Exclusion
Summary and "Grand Total" rows from AMC Excel files are automatically excluded to prevent inflated holdings counts.
